New Challenges

I love the week after Christmas, the stress of finding the perfect gifts, hosting a fabulous party, or simply being a good guest, has passed and we can all look forward to a bright and shiny new year. A sort of "start-over" phase in all our lives.

I have a wonderful new client who I consider a good friend, even though we met a very short time ago. A bundle of energy, she maintains a huge historic home and finds time to entertain and hold charity functions throughout the year.

I recently finished a stairwell to the lower level, a relaxing place for family and friends, apart from all of the commotion her busy lifestyle requires. It features a mural with broken out plaster and old stone walls. I've painted several dragons peering out from the stone-- a whimsical touch that echoes my new friends personality.
