Parting Shots

Here are a few pictures of the finishing touches added on my last painting day. The room will eventually have a chandelier, wall sconces, and a wine barrel sink, and (of course) more wine! I'm working on a still life painting on canvas for the other half of the room. More pics later.

Chill Factor

As many of you can attest, I'm home watching the great Midwest Blizzard of 2011! I decided not to attempt to get back to the wine cellar mural today, (and probably not tomorrow either) as we're expecting at least a foot of snow. Soooo---here are a few pictures of the progress.
Things are going well, I'm in a quiet secluded area, and have the space to myself. The only drawback is the somewhat chilly temperature that all those bottles of great wine require to stay great. (56-58 degrees) Good for the wine, not so good for a cold natured guy like me. I dress in layers and I'm holding out. On a day like today, that room would feel downright cozy.
