A little bling

Metallic finishes are all the rage, particularly when you want a touch of formality, a "shiny & happy", but  aged down subtle look.  A finish which, due to its reflective quality, changes throughout the day.  Here are some pics of just that sort of finish in a dining room.  The ceilings, walls, and trim are all base painted in a warm silver metallic paint.  The walls are then stencilled in a classic pattern and over glazed to soften the contrast.  An updated classic look, bridging the gap between old and new with style.  Notice the change in color in the photos between low and bright light--night and day-as the incandescent lights warm up the finish.
